Leading Together, Growing Stronger
As the new Director of the Indigenous Health Research Unit, I’m leading innovative research initiatives that prioritize Indigenous knowledge, health, and wellness. My role focuses on fostering collaborative partnerships, advancing Indigenous methodologies, and driving impactful projects that support the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities. We’re committed to amplifying Indigenous voices, addressing health disparities, and ensuring that research reflects the unique needs and strengths of Indigenous peoples.
Research Mentorship Through Community Collaboration
For too long Métis and other Indigenous communities have lacked the capacity to do their own academic research. Through collaborative research with Indigenous organizations, I am committed to mentoring Indigenous undergraduate and graduate students and community members with the ultimate aim of building community-based research capacity.
